Nizam is built so that the most personal things you plan stay with you. This policy explains what the Nizam app keeps, what this website collects, and the choices you have. It is written to meet the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021).
The Nizam app
- No account. You don't sign up or log in to use the app.
- Your data stays on your iPhone. Occasions, savings pots, your monthly budget, your gift ledger, your wardrobe and the sellers you save are stored only on your device, in a file protected by iOS encryption. We never receive them.
- A safe copy. Nizam keeps a second copy of the same file on your iPhone, so a damaged file can be recovered. It never leaves your device.
- Face ID. If you lock Nizam or your ledger, iOS checks your face or passcode. Nizam never sees or stores biometric data. When Nizam is not on screen, the app switcher shows only the Nizam pearl.
- Reminders are scheduled on your phone. They are not sent from our servers.
- WhatsApp orders. When you order from a seller, Nizam opens WhatsApp with a message you can edit. The chat is between you and the seller, under WhatsApp's own privacy policy. We don't see it.
- Feedback by email. If you choose Send feedback in Help, your own email app opens with the Nizam and iOS version filled in. We receive only what you send, and use it to reply.
- No ads and no tracking. The app has no advertising, no analytics and no third-party tracking.
This website
We collect only what you choose to send us:
- Beta list: your email address, and if you add them on the welcome page, your first name, emirate, interests and WhatsApp number.
- Seller applications: business name, your name, emirate, what you sell, licence type, Instagram handle, WhatsApp number, email and anything you tell us about your business.
- Support messages: your email, the topic and your message.
We use this to invite you to the beta, to review and answer seller applications, and to reply to you. We contact you on WhatsApp only if you ticked the box asking us to, and you can ask us to stop at any time.
Where it is stored
Website submissions are stored in a database run for us by Cloudflare, which hosts this website. Cloudflare may process data outside the UAE under its own data protection commitments. We do not sell, rent or share your information with anyone for advertising.
How long we keep it
- Beta list: until 12 months after the public launch, or until you ask us to delete it.
- Seller applications: 24 months, or while you are a Circle Souq seller.
- Support messages: 12 months.
Cookies
This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics. Your browser's local storage remembers only your language and whether you closed the announcement bar. If we ever add analytics, we will ask for your consent first.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or withdraw your consent. Write to us through the support page and choose "Privacy or my data". We will reply within 30 days.
Age
Nizam is for adults aged 18 and over. Please don't send us information if you are younger.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use information you already gave us, we will tell you by email first.
